Lib Dems call on Council to fix our roads

20 Feb 2017

Local Liberal Democrats are calling on the Conservative-run County Council to fix our roads and pavements.

The County Council has paid out over half a million pounds compensating motorists for damage caused by potholes since 2012. And Lib Dem County Councillors have revealed that at the current rate of repair it would take 123 years to resurface Hampshire's pavements.

Local Lib Dem campaigner Leola Card said, "The Lib Dem team have been out in the North Farnborough area and have reported many potholes to Hampshire County Council for repair. In many areas of Farnborough the roads are becoming increasingly busy with heavy traffic. Maintenance of these roads should be a high priority."
