Napier Garden Pond

Following on from resident's concerns about the lack of maintenance to the pond in Napier Gardens some remedial work will happen on 28^th February. The bank will be cut back where it has overgrown towards the footpath. Later in the year around September some of the bull rushes will be cut back from the pontoon viewing stages after the wildlife have finished nesting. Your Lib Dem Councillors have been working with officers to resolve this lack of maintenance. The Council says it does not have the funds to maintain the pond as it should.

If you have a spare hour and would like to help on the 28th February please bring some gloves and lend a hand. If you would like to volunteer and help maintain the pond together we can work with Rushmoor Voluntary services to create a friends of the pond group, Similar to Cove Greenway who help maintain stretches of Cove Brook. Anyone who would like to join in helping please let us know and we can help to take this forward.
