Alan Hilliar wants to save Aldershot and Farnborough town centres

Alan Hilliar, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Aldershot, is calling for real action to revitalise Aldershot and Farnborough town centres.

Alan said, "Our town centres could be something we could all be proud of at the heart of our towns. But instead, years of neglect under the Conservatives have left them struggling with too many shops boarded up."

Alan is calling for for sustainable shopping centres with real heart and character and more space for art and music.

Alan Hilliar said "The Conservatives have messed around with plans for Aldershot and Farnborough for at least fifteen years."

"They've produced plan after plan, spent hundreds of thousands of pounds of our money on consultants, and have achieved absolutely nothing!"

"We've waited far too long. We need real action as soon as possible to bring back pride in our town centres."

Part of Alan's plan to revitalise our town centres also includes building more homes that young people can afford. Alan explained:

"We need more real homes and fewer shoebox flats. Young people are unable to get on the housing ladder with exorbitant prices.

"Our plan would build more houses, help first time buyers and protect those in rented accommodation by using pragmatic intervention where the market is failing people."
