Roadworks continue

Your Liberal Democrat team continue to monitor the Lynchford Roadworks and its effects on local residents. Councillor Craig Card reports “ Whilst the rat run is still continuing, vehicle numbers do seem to have dropped slightly. I am pleased that finally our much requested sign has gone in on the entrance to Park Road to deter HGV traffic, along with the other signage and speed signs already installed.”

We have been very frustrated in the slow response we have received from Tory run Hampshire highways to the disruption to local residents. Your local Liberal Democrat team opposed
this unwanted scheme right from the start and have continued throughout to protest that it is
unnecessary and has caused real problems for residents, with cars and lorries using local roads asrat runs. It is a complete waste of council funds when it could be used for much needed schools and social care.
