Conservative cuts hit local groups

Local community groups are set to fold thanks to the Conservative run Council closing Farnborough Community Centre. Earlier this year the Farnborough Community Centre Association trustees announced they could no longer run the centre beyond the end of 2018. The trustees are getting older and couldn't find anyone new to look after the community centre on a voluntary basis.

Lynchford Road widening “No solution to our traffic problems”

Hampshire County Council recently held a public consultation on its controversial proposal to turn most of Lynchford Road, connecting the A331 Blackwater Valley Route and the A325 Farnborough Road, into a dual carriageway to take the traffic created by the airport and exhibition centre. Local developers will contribute over £2 million towards the Council's scheme.
