Rushmoor council is reviewing Conservation areas within the borough. The councils overview document states that a conservation area is an area of special architectural or historic interest, the character or appearance of which it is desirable to preserve or enhance. The designation does not prohibit development, but rather seeks to ensure that any changes are in keeping with the area's special character.
Last year Rushmoor borough Council undertook a consultation to gain views on its master plan for the civic quarter and we await the next phase of this process.
